Nae 5.0 out of 5 stars Page TUNER!!! Reviewed in the United States on November 1, 2021Verified Purchase This book was def a page-turner and took me on a journey while reading it. , the Main character, is someone you’ll build empathy for in short order. She reminded me of a good friend yet still trying to find a friend within herself and the other characters were just as believable. I found myself inside each character trying to figure out why they felt a certain way and Angela was my favorite character as she shocked me the most with all her moods yet to find out she had more secrets than most. This isn’t a story that requires deep development. There are hints of spirituality, mental illness, or options you’ll consider on your own while trying to figure out this curious conundrum. Those topics exist in the storyline but aren’t the story. Something happened to summer that caused her to move the way she did which attracted a lot of other characters in the book which intrigued me the most. She’s on a mission to find what’s lost while hoping to see her father ( I pray he’s mentioned and talks more in the second book if there is one) What’s spectacular about this book is the dialogue. It’s crisp, natural, emotional, and unique by character. You’ll know who’s speaking without the obligatory. This story is strongly forward by dialogue with no slow spots or boring info dumps. The transitions from past to present work. The entire story works to an abrupt but surprisingly satisfying conclusion.

The author actually takes you to the place in your mind, you imagine being there watching like a fly on the wall. This book just makes you not want to stop reading. I was late for work because I was still reading feeling upset how Angela treats Cheyenne (Summer) must read this book!!!

If you have not been introduced to the trauma hood life could bring and the power of God here is your introduction. This book is a sure roller coaster ride of emotions. You are crying, then something makes you mad and a couple of pages later you are laughing at the funning Sherry B brings out in her characters through their struggles. Cheyenne is a familiar character that we all have been or have met along our own journeys to find peace, love, and happiness. This is a road map of demonic escape routes and revelation of God being with you every step of the way.
